Principal  Accountabilities: 

1.      World  Class  Performance  improvement  –  Direct,  drive,  the  transformation  and  integration  of  business  level  processes  &  systems  into  a  Lean  Enterprise  （i.e.  Manufacturing,  Supply  Chain  &  Transactional  etc.）  through  use  of  Lean,  Sigma  Logic  and  other  quality/performance  improvement  techniques.   

2.      The  Lean  Enterprise  System  setup–  Function  as  an  internal  expert  in  first  defining,  then  rolling  out,  the  implementation  of  a  PPG  Lean  Enterprise  system  for  Coatings  businesses  within  the  China  region,  ensuring  that  critical  success  factors  are  incorporated  within  the  transformation  model.  Develop  strategy  and  eｘecute  plans. 
   
3.      Measurement  /  Metrics  –  Develop  the  appropriate  driving  metrics  for  Lean,  assess  baseline  performance,  work  with  line  managers  to  develop  appropriate  targets  and  measure  progress  to  targets.  Ensure  development  of  an  integrated  improvement  strategy  that  allows  Operation  team  to  meet  BSR  objectives 
   
4.      Teaching  /  Mentoring  –  Hands-on  teaching  of  Lean  principles  and  tools.  Mentor  key  project  within  facilities.    Certify  Lean  trainer  and  RIW  facilitators.  Develop  learning  opportunities  for  eｘecutive  leadership.  Develop  an  Enterprise-wide  appreciation  for  performance  improvement  opportunities  and  approach  within  all  functions. 

5.      Internalization  &  Best  Practices  –  Play  an  active  role  within  a  network  of  Lean/Performance  improvement  specialists  within  PPG,  capturing  and  internalizing  best  practices  in  Asia  Pacific. 

Requires:   

·        Expertise  in  Lean,  Quality  &  performance  improvement  processes.  Experience  on  Sigma  Logic  is  a  plus. 
·        Leadership,  planning,  consulting  and  influencing  skills  required  for  leading  large-system  change 
·        Ability  to  drive  eｘecution  of  improvement  plans  on  a  tactical  level 
·        Working  knowledge  of  all  aspects  of  the  critical  business  processes/systems  within  the  business 
·        Operations  experience,  5-10  years  total  experience,  Technical  degree 
·        Able  to  travel
